The initial four tracks of this CD comprise the movements of the "Tekweni Suite" (2003) composed as commissioned by the ensemble Saxofourte.
Roux writes:
"Tekweni was my childhood version of the word eThekwini, the Zulu name of the port of Durban. In this suite I recollect my childhood years in this beautiful, cosmopolitan city. These four movements are but a small tribute to my birthplace and its people."
